Now, more than ever--it is so important that you maintain the rituals, success routines, and self-motivation
that are integral to keeping you on the right track physically, emotionally and spiritually. You hear on the news that
we live in uncertain times. You are not sure what will happen on Wall Street. What does this mean to you in your daily
life? You need to be in your most winning, successful, and determined frame of mind. Write in your journal, practice
affirmations, exercise, and keep your heart thinking right. Do not let TV or internet news get you off-track. No
matter what you face in life, you need to face it with your best game.
Think back over the
last week. Were you distracted, mildly depressed, or even angry? These are emotions that can trigger negative and
self-sabotaging behaviors. Recognize your feelings and then move on and beyond them to your own best actions and plans.
What are you thinking about? Your thought process may go something like this: I have three deadlines
I am trying to meet, children that need to be dropped off/picked up, I missed my exercise today, and I have to balance my
checkbook before I spend one more dollar....and so on-then it starts all over again. To pull yourself out of a vicious circle
of negative thoughts, you need to make a conscious effort. Refocus your mind. Think about your big vision and your big goals.
Stretch, move around. Distract yourself and then consciously pull in thoughts that uplift you. Use your affirmations like
my favorites: "I am so happy and so grateful now that I have peace, energy, joy, and passion every moment of every day."
I am so happy now that I inspire people daily" and "I am so thankful that I have all of the time
I need".
You will find your energy level changing as you purposefully redirect your thoughts.
I was listening to the news this morning and of course the topic was "the terrible economy". What
happens in your mind when you start thinking about how bad the economic outlook is? Some things that typically pop into people's
minds are spending less, lowering expenses, and, yes, people perhaps think about giving less. It is at precisely this time
when giving generously is important. It is a sign of faith and it creates a deeply satisfying feeling of being able to give.
I notice that when I give generously, not only do I feel great, but other great things seem to happen around me. Ask yourself
today, Who needs me? Who needs my help? How can I make a difference?

"Thanks so much, Sheri. I read your blog
today, and it really inspired me. Now, as I am working, I have started to do my favorite things first and it seems like work
is getting done a lot quicker.
I
don't think words can express howmuch I liked your book. It really has changed my life. The positives
you just put out there have seemed to become reachable to me, since I have read your book. Just to hear how someone like you,
who has faced many hardships in life, can still lead a joyful life has made me realize that I need to be thankful for the
ones I love, and the things I love to do. Without even trying, your book has rubbed off on me and made me reach a turning
point in my life. Now I live everyday to the fullest, and try my hardest to enjoy everything that comes my way. I don't
waste my time with angry thoughts, or feelings like "Why did this happen to me?" because now I know that there is
a reason for everything, and my struggles will always be lifted off my shoulders by God.
Thank you so much for your inspiration and motivation." S. Lynne
One of my readers emailed the below response to my book. I feel so blessed.
"Hi SherI!
I read
your book! I thought it was great. It addresses things that I have only worked on in the last ten years such as
transforming your heart and mind and control your thoughts. I will definitely recommend your book to people and I am
going to buy some to give as gifts to friends and clients! "...Brita
Working in the flow occurs when you are so focused
and absorbed that time appears to both stand still and yet, moves forward without your conscious awareness. Most
of us have experienced working in the flow. The task or project absorbs us, our work seems effortless (yet
it probably involved several complex aspects and very concentrated thinking). Your results when working
in the flow are most likely higher than other efforts.Sometimes when I am writing in the flow, I feel
that my work writes itself. Instead of being tired, I am energized. According to Daniel Goleman author
of Emotional Intelligence, surgeons, musicians and artists often speak of working in
the flow—where inspiration meets effort. I encourage you to capitalize on these instances when you
find yourself working in the “flow”.Do not overanalyze it-appreciate it and use it. Though
many report these flow occurrences as random, you can encourage this flow process by removing distractions and beginning a
project or task with deeper concentration. You are most likely to be in the flow if the project requires
some difficulty, but is not too far of a reach or stretch. At the same time if something is too easy, it will be difficult
to be in the flow. The idea is too stretch yourself and your brain, but not overwhelm yourself.
