Creating Thoughts
The words we think about become who we are. What words are going through your mind today? Check out my poem...Living- on authorsden  http://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewpoetry.asp?AuthorID=90797&id=240157

I have been ill with the flu over the last few days, however, I chose to look at the time I had to spend resting as a blessing. I rekindled my zest for life and developed a new vision and direction for a project. I am almost recovered and even more excited about life and all of my people.

Make Room for New Things
Are you visualizing a new goal? Perhaps a new opportunity? Are you at the point where you are wondering whether it will happen or not? Consider looking at your current life. Are you overscheduled? Are your closets, home, and/or car cluttered? Do you have financial matters or loose ends to take care of? Consider tackling some of these areas in order to make room for something new in your life. If your current life is packed, there is no  room for new goals or new opportunities. I have been visualizing a new area that I wanted to develop in my business, and then I realized when I looked at my calendar that I did not have even an extra half hour in my week for anything new. I relentlessly reviewed my commitments to decide what would go or stay in order to allow room for growth in this new area. I also cleaned out my mail pile and my junk drawer. this morning, I had a new opportunity come to me unexpectedly. Open up some space (literally or metaphorically) in your life to allow new ideas and good to pour into the newly created space.

Quiet and Stillness
Do you find yourself on the fence at times? Maybe you are wondering what direction your life is going or should be going? At times like this, appreciate quiet and stillness. Cultivate patience and wait for the answer. Don't try to force it. Often, we get caught up in action and doing,  and we forget about being and listening. Do you need to quiet your thoughts?
I spent a day this weekend reflecting, resting, and trying to keep my mind open to new thoughts. I woke up bright and early this morning with a fresh approach and a new direction for a project. This is my reward for welcoming quiet and stillness into my day yesterday.

Following your Intuition
Recently I was in a situation where I was teaching a class and I kept feeling a certain nudging to share some of my personal experiences regarding the death of my younger brother and a difficult situation that I faced with my daughter. So I did share my experiences with the group. After the class, I found myself feeling upset and vulnerable. I finally determined that I am use to being strong and fearless. This sharing time illustrated the reality that I do struggle, just like everyone else. Still, I thought that maybe I overshared. Throughout the week, though, I experienced a series of emails and conversations with people letting me know that my sharing had deeply touched them. I also had some people tell me about their own similar life experiences. This was exactly what I needed to prove to myself how important it is to listen to that nudging feeling, as it appears for reasons we may not understand. Trust your intuition. What are you being nudged to do?

Fun to look at your stuff online & think about our recent visit. I like your affirmations and hope to get in the habit of more affirming self-talk. RC

Author's Tea at the Mitchell Tappan House
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a tea at the historic Mitchell Tappan House (which is listed in the National Historic Register) in Hibbing, MN. The home is an 1897 Victorian home, now a Bed and Breakfast, and I recalled having Easter dinner at the home with previous owners when I was a child. Anyone traveling to Hibbing would experience a relaxing and comfortable stay, as well as experiencing one of Pam Turnbull's delicous breakfasts. www.mitchell-tappanhouse.com
Thank you to Connie Nylund for hosting the event. We had great conversations in a beautiful setting with yummy treats. I can't wait to go back.
