One of the best ways that I cultivate my creativity and inspiration is through collaboration with others. My
energy level seems to double and I feel a sense of excitement. If you feel that you need more inspiration in your work-life,
you may need to join a mastermind group or contact others that have similar interests.
Another thing
that I like to do is give generously with my thoughts. If I feel like I might become blocked or feel like I am not
sure about my current projects, I get on Facebook, twitter, or my cell phone and contact others to tell them how meaningful
their work is to me. I give feedback on projects and ideas. I take the time to listen. This is like setting up an
energy explosion and soon I am back to my ideal of working while inspired.
One final thought on inspiration-consider
trying something completely out of the norm for you. A few weeks ago, I went snowtubing with my family on the spur of the
moment in the mountains and felt completely revived.
Remember, you are completely capable of tapping
into inspiration when you need it.

When you are working towards goals, it is common to want to force solutions and/or you may end up with feelings
like, "if only I could just work harder". You may also find that the more you try to force a solution, the more
resistant the problem becomes or the bigger the project becomes. When you find yourself trying to force the issue, take a
step back and take a breath. Look at all of the work you have already devoted to the problem or project and appreciate it.
Allow the effort that you have given- some time for you to see the desired result. You most likely will notice that areas
surrounding the problem or project that seemed stuck will suddenly flow freely. You will begin to enjoy the process again.
You will stop saying, "I should" and you will be in the moment.
You may start worrying again, thinking
things like "what should I do?" Again, breathe in and breathe out. If you wonder what you should do and nothing
comes to mind-that may be your answer-do nothing and wait.
Many times, I will fall asleep praying, "What
should I do?" In the morning, I often wake up with the solution. The solution is in my head the moment I sit up from
my night's rest.
Success is a combination of action, listening, and waiting. We are encouraged to be people
of action, which is great. But we also need to cultivate the patience for listening and waiting. While you are listening and
waiting-enjoy your life. Don't waste it by dwelling on trying to control the results.
Feeling
stuck is exceedingly uncomfortable-however, the more you try to wiggle out of it-the more stuck you become. If you are stuck
at the moment, take heart that it is not permanent. Relax and allow yourself to gently be released.
It’s 2009…How are you going to
make it the Best Year of Your Life?
Start
with a goal poster. Cut up pictures, captions, etc from magazines (they should be meaningful to you) and put on a poster board.
Once you are finished, put up your poster in a prominent place. I have mine in my Master Bathroom.
Then, make a list of the experiences you desire-More
peace? More passion? More energy? More joy? Focus on how these experiences contribute to your life. What does having more
peace mean to you? Does it mean deep, restful sleep and/or an overall feeling of relaxation? What about passion? Do you truly
love what you do? If not, how can you change it or eliminate it? If you need more energy, what foods are you eating and what
are you doing to move your body? If you desire more joy, are you living in the moment , forgiving people,
forgiving yourself, and focusing your thoughts in the right direction? Reflect on these questions in your journal.
Establish a ritual that starts each day. Mine
is listening to music, lighting candles, using essential oils (pomegranate is my favorite), praying, and writing in my journal.
Trust your intuition to guide you in taking on new projects and opportunities. You will truly have a blessed year.
