Finding yourself irritated and trying to remember why you fell in love in the first place?
I have been married for sixteen years
and I remember the passionate beginnings of our love. When my husband seemed larger than life and I reveled in each touch.
I easily overlooked any flaws and only saw the great good within him and around him. As the years go by, our friendship has
deepened and we have one of those comfortable relationships where we often know what the other is thinking without even talking. Recently,
I have noticed that I have been frustrated with him. I seem to be finding many minor irritating habits. Yet, of course,
I want him to be in my life. Upon some deep reflecting, I thought about how when we met, I wanted to love him-I wanted to
be in love with him. . Then my mind turned to the truth of how virtually all of our lives are created in our own minds.
I had created an irritation that had little to do with him. He is basically the same person (of course some personal growth
has occurred), yet I was suddenly finding fault. The problem was not him-it was me. I can choose to overlook the
small irritating things and see the truly good things, again. I am not saying that people should put up with abusive
relationships. However, I am saying that we have control over ourselves and our perspectives. I am reminded that love
is a verb-an action. Love is something that you do. If you want more love and romance in your life, first cultivate it in
your thoughts and then create it in your life.
"Love is all we have, the only way that each can help the other" Euripedes
This week, I am at a research conference in Atlanta. I had the opportunity to pop into a time management workshop.
I am always eager to get tips and ideas that I can pass on to clients or even learn for myself. One thing that struck me as
I was sitting in this presentation is the importance of passion. The speaker mentioned passion and passion is one of the subjects
that I frequently write about. Sometimes, it is easy to forget about passion when individuals have deadlines looming
and they are immersed in a list of "have tos" and "shoulds". When this happens, it is a good idea to take
a step back and evaluate the situation. Remember that passion led you to the project. It is probably still there somewhere
just waiting to be rediscovered. If it is not there-can you shift the project to someone else? Or is there some way, some
new approach that will ignite your passion again?
Think about the projects that you have completed while you
felt the heat and drive of passion. Maybe it was a new change initiative that postively affected others in your
community? Maybe it was a need that you saw and felt the urge to find a remedy? Perhaps you came up with a
brilliant idea for a story, an article,a book and you started writing and never looked up until you accomplished your
goal. My suggestion is to find ways to tap this natural passion and natural curiousity that we have as human beings.
Stop making it so hard. It should be easy-when you feel passion.

"Sheri - I can only imagine how your clients must feel after having sessions
with you if they are anything like this uplifting and empowering book of yours; "Living Successfully and Joyfully Everyday:
90 Days of Inspiration"! I'm a huge believer in writing things down, and so I especially loved the journaling exercises
throughout the book, and I know they will help others get unstuck and clear. This book will definitely help people to become
more aware of thought patterns and beliefs, and by becoming conscious of them, also being able to change them for something
much better. I
most certainly can tell you, that if you want to, you can by implementing the wisdom that Sheri shares in her book, change
your life within 90 days to something pretty amazing! I can really recommend this book to anyone - Thank you for sharing
