Lately, my focus has been on love, not just romantic love, but love
for all people. Being truly loving enhances everything about life. For instance, it is hard to have a bad day, when you are
focused on loving everyone around you. On the opposite side of the spectrum is how quickly the day can collapse into chaos
when you are being hurtful to others. As you go through your day, look for ways that you can manifest and cultivate love for
others. Have you ever noticed how some mothers pick apart every fault in their children? Yet, other mothers find love and
amusement in their children's behavior-even when they are on the edge of being naughty? Try to be a person who sees the value
in others and appreciates that value. I think one reason why we, as humans, tend to be critical is that so much of our lives
depends on critical analysis. Our jobs require us to perform SWOT analyses. Any project requires acute attention to details
in order to perfect anything that seems less than perfect. However, I believe we can make a mental shift when it comes
to people. Love the person, appreciate the contribution, and celebrate the uniqueness. Strive to understand that people come
from different perspectives. When you focus on love, appreciation, and understanding, you will be the biggest benefactor.
You will feel good and you will attract great things to you. Yes, the other person also benefits from your positive thoughts
and reinforcements. Why not experiment today? Everytime you feel critical of another person, try to change it into a
statement of love and appreciation in your mind. Take notice of how your day changes in response to your shift in
thoughts. "Love one another". John 13:34 (NIV)

I have guest blogger, Coach Daniela Koenig, featured here to discuss your relationship success story. Daniela is a friend,
business partner, and highly skilled relationship coach. Enjoy:)
Your Relationship Success Story
By Daniela Koenig, M.A. Relationship Coach
"A few weeks
ago I packed some warm winter cloths and my new black dress and flew to Switzerland for the weekend to attend my good friend’s
wedding. I’d never traveled from California to Switzerland for a weekend. I felt like
such a jet setter. With a 9-hour time difference I was more than a bit jet-lagged. Friday night after the
rehearsal dinner, I found myself lying in my hotel room, still awake as the wall clock passed midnight. I had to get up in
six hours for the wedding preparations, which was three hours before my California-timed body actually wanted to go to sleep.
As I was lying there looking at the moon through the window I suddenly noticed I
was saying to myself “My body is relaxing and rejuvenating” “I feel rested and relaxed”. This was
a new experience for me. In the past I would have lain in bed, tossing and turning, worrying that I would feel tired the next
day and not enjoy the wedding. This time, by continuously repeating, “my body is resting and rejuvenating”, I
noticed that even though I didn’t sleep much that night, the next day I felt rested and had a wonderful time at the
wedding.I realized that the stories I tell myself shape my experience. Had I lain there in
that hard twin bed worrying about how I was going to be exhausted that would have probably happened. So
what can you do the next time you are lying awake worrying? How can you ensure that your relationship stories
are supporting you in shaping the kind of relationship you want?
Become aware of your story
Bring some curious attention to the stories you might be telling yourself about dating or your relationship. You
can do this by noticing what you tell yourself when for example you are feeling nervous on a date. Do you tell yourself “Oh
I’m just not good enough and nobody loves me”?Try saying the stories out loud when you notice
them.In your relationship what is a repeating issue between you and your partner? If it is finances for example, notice if you are telling yourself ”the story that your parents or role models
told you growing up?”
Changing your story
Byron Katie in her work asks the question “Who would you be without that thought?”.
I know that can be a daunting “Big Question” at first when you feel identified with your story. So take out a timer, set if for five minutes and ask yourself “Who would I
be without my old Relationship story?” How would I interact with my date/partner? Write down any thoughts, images, words,
and sounds as they pop into your awareness.
Create your new story
Now you get to create your new story inspired by the word you just wrote down. Byron
Katie invites her readers to “Turn it around”, which is a great way to start to create your new story. So what
is your turn around? My turn around with the jet lag was “I feel relaxed, rested and rejuvenated”. Write down your new story and for the next week read your “turn around”
at least once a day. So next time you are on a date and you notice yourself starting
to feel nervous tell yourself your new story and notice how your interaction with your date changes. The
same in your relationship, next time you notice yourself heading down the path with your partner into an old recycled issue
remind yourself of your new story, repeat it to yourself and notice how your interaction with your partner shifts."

joyfully means to them. The blog today is from a dear friend and life coach Christina Watson- founder of Footprintsat50.com
"If I had to sum up the keys to living joyfully I would have to
say there are 3 components:
Living in the present
Accepting what is going on right now in my life is
the gateway to freedom. When I just accept that whatever I have going on JUST IS and it’s okay, the
grip of resistance is loosed and change is free to take place.Resisting (or resenting or regretting) my
present circumstances is sure to guarantee that they stay.
Years ago, my heart was broken by
a man who wanted something different, while I wanted him.I tried with all my will to alter that hollow
feeling, that echo in my head of “he doesn’t want me.”I knew that if this was happening
to me that I had attracted it.And that can be a hard pill to swallow. But when I made
peace with that fact -- that I had brought this incredible pain to my doorstep -- there must be a gift inside there somewhere
for me.Napoleon Hill says: “Every
adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.”Aha!
Three very helpful tools in staying in the present
are: faith (someone Higher than you is in charge), affirmations (reminding yourself of your truth) and forgiveness (everyone
is doing the best they can)
higher understanding Without
prayer and meditation, life is limited to this physical experience. And while this earth has many blessings
and opportunities for joy, it is only a small part of the big picture.Meditation is not only, at times,
a blissful experience, it actually conditions my mind for smoother sailing in my waking hours.Meditation
is a time for no thought. It is a time to merge myself with Source (or God, or pure positive energy or
Universe) Prayer is the open communication with my Higher Power. That’s where I speak, ask, wonder
and then listen. There are many forms of both of these practices, all of them good if they are connecting
you with your Maker. And all can increases your joy.
others It just feels so darn good to help others.I’ve been a volunteer
all my life as well as choosing a profession that focuses on helping others. For me, I believe it is part
of my life’s purpose. And I can tell because, well, it feels so darn good while
I am doing it. (God’s little hint, eh?)Helping others is gratitude in action and when we are doing
it, it’s impossible to focus on ourselves. It is the surest way to get out of your own pain –
lifting up another."
This week I am continuing a series of guest blogs from inspirational

"What does it mean to me to live joyfully?I’m a life coach and a mom of three little
kids. My days are jam packed with activities, countless things on my to-do list and perpetual exhaustion.Yet,
somehow, I know I can find joy everywhere – when I decide to look for it.
a taste of a few joyful moments this morning…
Drinking a glass of cool water with breakfast.
the smile on my one year old’s face that lights up every cell in his body (and mine) when I open the door to give him
his morning bottle and hug.
Eating sprouted wheat cereal for breakfast today for the first time and loving the healthy crunch!
Wearing a t-shirt today in sunny L.A.
of these things are revolutionary, explosive, life-changing moments of joy.I wasn’t celebrating
any of those traditionally joyful moments like a wedding, birth, birthday, etc. I mean enjoying a glass
of cool water this morning – that’s pretty mundane, right?
most of you, I drink (or certainly aspire to drink) about 8 glasses of water a day. Most of them I drink
without even noticing. So, what was special about this one?Absolutely nothing - except
that I chose to pay attention to it.I paid attention to the experience in my body while drinking that
water.It was like a liquid “Ahhhh”.I couldn’t get enough.
How can you tell what brings you joy?Look to your body. When you look around or think about your day what brings a smile to your face, or makes you feel excited, warm, lighter,
or more relaxed? When you notice these sensations in your body then there is a good chance that there is
some joyful living close by.
And, when I feel angry,
sad, or frustrated then I bring my attention to things that I know usually bring me joy and I focus on them.I
infuse my life and body with a dose of joy.It is amazing how a smile, laugh or tickle seems to make even
the roughest moments, a little bit better.
Join me for the rest of this week finding
at least five different things each day that bring you joy. They are everywhere – big and little.Find them, name them, and become conscious of when they show up in your daily routine.Choose to
notice, choose to live joyfully."

This week I am continuing a series of guest blogs from inspirational
people (coaches, consultants, writers) on what living joyfully means to them. The blog today is from my good friend and
colleague, life coach and author Nancy Farris. Enjoy
does it mean to you to live joyfully? Consider that question for a minute. Does it mean you live happy in every moment?
I love being happy, but I'm beginning to discover that's not all there is to living joyfully.
believe that deep in the core of your being, your essence is pure joy and pure love. And expressing our true essence allows
us to experience that joyfulness. It may sound very simplistic, but think about it for a minute. How often do you get a 'nudge' (inspiration)
to do or say something, you do it, and suddenly you feel—well—joyful?
On the other end of the spectrum,
how often do you get a 'nudge' to do or say something, and you don't follow through on the nudge, and for some time you judge
or kick yourself for not following through? I've done that before, and it sure didn't feel very joyful to be second guessing
or judging myself.
I used to think that to
living joyfully came from being 'comfortable' (again, so I could be happy). I would consistently stay away from things that
might push me in a way that I felt anxious or a little scared. But what I found, was that in living in my comfort zone, I would sometimes
say NO to things that my soul's essence really resonated with. I would reason that I was much happier staying right where I was. Really?
Actually, I felt a little dead inside that well upholstered rut.
Recently, I took some steps that put me way outside
my comfort zone. And I noticed something really curious. I felt an excitement. It was as if I was allowing my soul to peer
out to possibilities, and with it I caught a glimpse of the joyfulness of my true nature! Wow. Then I realized
that in staying in my comfort zone, I continue to play 'small' in a sense, like keeping my soul pinned down. It takes a lot
of energy to repress who you are. I've committed this year to stop hiding out, and let my soul be seen! Being open and curious
helps to cultivate a sense of joyfulness about new adventures!
If you'd like to experience
more energy and joy in 2010, find some new inspired ways to step outside your comfort zone and allow your soul to be seen!
Be open and curious about what makes you feel anxious – and you might just find a sweet gift of joyfulness inside!"

This week I am featuring a series of guest blogs from inspirational
people (coaches, consultants, writers) on what living joyfully means to them. The first today is from the founder of Caring
Creates on Facebook- Sally Drew
and Enchantment"I’ve been ‘of two minds’ on just about everything for as long
as I can remember. Growing up, I was convinced I was incapable of making decisions; on the one hand there’s this, but
on the other hand, there’s that. As well, I would always ‘assume the best’ and give ‘the benefit of
the doubt’ – leaving the impression that I was too trusting, a limited thinker and doomed to be taken advantage
of by everyone.
Decades later, I understand that we’re presented with life
events that call upon the gifts and qualities within us to wake up, rise up, and/or show up.I believe
I was meant to see/experience life this way. The parts of my Self that were identified and berated as weaknesses have, in
adulthood, emerged as my greatest strengths – and I will label them Wisdom and Enchantment. Living my life with Wisdom
and Enchantment allows me to view every person, situation and circumstance in my life through the lenses
of opportunity for growth, lessons to be learned, qualities to be developed and reminders that the Universe is quite aware
that I exist.
In my world - difficult people, roadblocks, ingenuity gaps and the
like are the Universe’s equivalent to Speedbumps on my path; meant to slow me down, wake me up, clarify my focus, and
move me forward more mindfully than before.
Similarly, meaningful coincidences, timely
connections, chance meetings and needed information are the Universe’s equivalent to rewards, clues and validation that
I’m walking a path of significance with whatever I’m pursuing.
There’s a lot
to be said for living your life with the enchantment and wonder of a child, and the experience and wisdom of an adult. It’s
a careful balance really, something we practiced early on, with commitment and stealth, in games like Tug-of-War - and with
trust and nervous anxiety while firmly planted on one end of a see-saw in motion.
Picking up your end of a situational rope with nothing more than the belief that everything’s going to be fine
without the engagement, responsibility and action to ensure it is so ~ you’re likely to get dragged off your mark every
Jumping enthusiastically onto one end of a relational teeter-totter
with blind trust and no personal investments of time, emotion or energy ~ will likely see you slamming hard to the ground
with an unceremoniously thump, wondering what went wrong.
My life feels more
joyfully lived when I approach everyone and everything in it with the Wisdom of accumulated learning and
experience over the course of my personal history – and the Enchantment that every moment holds within
it the potential for magic, miracles and something deeper than I can see at first glance. And I realize this joy more fully
when I allow my Self to connect to others, so that the entity that is me can grow more fully as a result of WE
(Wisdom, Enchantment)." To learn more about Sally you can visit her here:
"...Inner happiness actually is the
fuel for success" Dr, John Hagelin
You might feel like you are doing and thinking the right things- maybe
you have a goal poster, affirmations, a strong vision, and you are action oriented- but you have some goals that seem to remain
elusive. There are a few things you can consider- one is that the joy and happiness needs to be in place first- two is that
you may have a limiting belief in play (I am not worthy, I don't deserve this, etc),and three - you may need to expand your
capacity to receive.
Create your happiness first. Feel good and think good thoughts. Sounds simple- but in reality
is challenging for many. You can raise your level of happiness with techniques like using an appreciation journal, be loving,
moving your body, listening to music, meditating, prayer, getting close to nature, refusing to indulge in things like complaining,
circular thinking, worrying. The more you practice these techniques- the more you will notice higher levels of happiness in
Release limiting beliefs. The first part to releasing limiting beliefs is to be able to recognize them.
Use your emotions to help you see limiting beliefs. If you are feeling "bad" you often have a limiting belief that
is in play. The belief might be some version of "I am not worthy" of "good things never last" and the
list could go on. Recognizing the limiting belief is sometimes enough to release it. Other times- a belief can hang on stubbornly.
In these cases, you can write down all of the thoughts and feelings you have around that belief. Then tear it up and rewrite
the situation and thoughts the way that you want them to be. Fold up the paper and carry it with you in your
wallet and read it often. When you release a limiting belief- you feel freedom and create room for manifesting your goals.
Expand your capacity to receive. Do you have trouble accepting gifts? Do you say "Oh, you shouldn't have"
instead of "thank you" when someone presents you with a gift? Maybe you love giving, but have a
hard time accepting gifts. This is an area where I have struggled. Here is a fun exercise. Write down one of your goals.
Then write down- I am receiving (your goal) now. Do this for each aspect of your goals or vision statements. Notice your
feelings and thoughts as you do this. Do you feel a shift in your energy?
Practice cultivating happiness, release
limiting beliefs, and expand your capacity to receive. You will begin to see those elusive goals manifest in your life.
I want to see you achieve your dreams this year. I am holding that intention
for you. Your vision for 2010 might include finally writing that book that has been playing around in your mind. Consider
Have you dreamed about writing
